05:12 pm - Loss of Sanity Points

I'm not sure how the woman did it, or what I did to deserve the gesture, but a woman flipped me off while driving, smoking, and drinking coffee. I tried to figure out exactly how she managed it, but honestly have no clue in the slightest how it occurred.

09:22 pm - Here

I need to start writing more, at least something of substance, every day. I'm going to try and post it here, but it will have to happen after I get home work each night...I just need something to act as drive for me, so that I keep going and pushing and continuing on mentally. I think it'll help quite a bit, at least I'm hoping it does. *nod*

09:35 am - Ugh

I knew better than to stay up until 4am. I also knew better than to finish off that bottle of wine.

Ugh. When will I learn? Heh.

11:47 am - My Coffee

I put a very small dab of honey and a light pour of skim milk in my coffee today instead of cream and sugar.

I have no real idea why I did this. Just been thinking about being...better, dietwise and the first area I realized I could cut down was all the sugar use in my coffee.

Small steps, I suppose.

06:52 pm - My D&D: Dragons

(I posted this on my gmail buzz earlier. I was originally annoyed by the updates, but since I'm constantly on my gmail through the day it's become one of my most used / read networking attachments.)

Taking an idea from 4th Edition, I decided to tinker around slightly with dragons and what they represent in the 3.5 Edition E6 game I began running (and that is currently on hiatus). I always wanted dragons to be more, more than just a few different attack progressions and a breath weapon that does nothing but scale up in dice count with creature size. So, I made them a little more primal. Not to mention each fight was in itself a setpiece with several levels of involvment and ways of accomplishing the task of "kill the baddie."

Dragons on The Island of Hömm are beasts of myth that are intrinsically tied to their particular element, that is to say, wherever the dragon “is” becomes more like the dragons natural habitat. The group has already tangled with a white dragon in the lowlands of the mountains, a black dragon in the marshes, a nasty green beast in the middle of an overgrown and expanding forest, and a blue dragon in the deserts. Each of these dragons was precluded with rumors and myths surrounding their appearance such as…

Blue Dragon: The Dwarves that hold a fortress in the middle of “The Neverending Sands” actually began to notice their oasis shrinking, and the lowlands surrounding what others knew as “The Magewar Desert” pulling away and making the area of the desert larger. The PC’s knew from defeating the small white dragon in the lowlands that it seemed to have brought the weather from the frigid higher altitudes “down the mountain” with it, and after its death saw the snow almost instantly melt…fading away as if it was held there by the dragons life-force. So, when the Drawf PC’s heart about the shrinking oasis the and imminent threat of “balls, there’s no water” from their homeland…they instantly assumed another dragon had taken up residency.

Granted, dragons were pure myth and ancient history until the game began when the PC’s actually encountered the first “lizard monster thing” who was using perverted magic to alter feral goblins into a larval “egg” that eventually hatches into a bipedal lizard-critter (Kobolds). But, now they have soldiered through a few of the smaller ones, dealing with them in order of their own oddly progressive manner, and are to the next to last beast on the island. And now is when the cap of the “Mountain that Blocks the Sun” explodes into ash and volcanic rain begins to fall on the North…as the furious red makes his presence known.
